Non-Executive Director (NED) Development Seminar

Non-Executive Director (NED) Development Seminar

The Non-Executive Development session will take place from 2.00 – 4.00 / 4.30pm on Monday 16 March.

Please note: following the cancellation of ALF 2020, we will now be using the video-conferencing solution, Zoom, for the NED session.

The content will remain as planned, however, participants will be asked to join by video-conference. The session will also be recorded and shared on the AACE website.

If you have registered for the NED session, you will receive a corresponding invite and joining instructions in the coming days.

About the NED event

We are delighted that this session offers an opportunity to hear from The King’s Fund, NHS Providers and the NHS Confederation.

Richard Humphries, Senior Fellow, Policy, The King’s Fund will be imparting advice on navigating the STP/ICS landscape.  As well as his role at The King’s Fund, Richard is a non-executive director at Wye Valley NHS Trust so will bring a wealth of directly relevant experience.

Kim Hutchings, Head of Development and Engagement at NHS Providers:

“Improving services, by acting on opinion: how boards can utilise the member and public voice to change services for the better. Hear from your FT colleagues who are really making this happen.”

Kim will be considering the role of governors and members in foundation trusts and transferable learning for non-foundation trusts.  She will draw directly on best practice examples from members and will be supported by Paul Devlin, Trust Chair of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and Peter Howie, Trust Secretary, Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Ruth Rankine, Primary Care Network (PCN) Development Director at the NHS Confederation, will conclude the session sharing her insight into and experience of working alongside the evolving PCN system and what this means for NEDs.

The NED Development Seminar takes place on Mon 16 March, 14.00 – 16.00 / 16.30.

If you have registered for the NED session, you will receive a corresponding invite and joining instructions in the coming days.
