Confusion regarding photo of pregnant woman lying in right lateral position

Question and answer: Q&A: When a pregnant woman lies or is placed in the lateral position, left lateral is usually recommended. However, in some circumstances (e.g. transfer in an ambulance, available space etc.), a right lateral position may be required or preferred and this is entirely acceptable. This may be to avoid the woman facing the side wall of the ambulance.
