Jo Webber announced as interim ASN Director

The Ambulance Service Network (ASN) has announced that Jo Webber, Deputy Policy Director at the NHS Confederation has been appointed to the position of Interim Ambulance Service Network Director.

The appointment was confirmed following interviews held on Monday 22nd February.

The interview panel was comprised of Heather Strawbridge, Chair of the ASN Board and Chair of South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust, Paul Sutton, Vice-Chair of the ASN Board and Chief Executive of South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust and Steve Barnett, Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation.

Prior to her post as Deputy Policy Director, Joanna (Jo) Webber worked as a Policy Manager with the NHS Confederation, following her previous role as Director of Clinical Services at Broxtowe and Hucknall PCT.

There, she had responsibility for provided services; workforce issues, which included employee relations, staff development, and recruitment and retention initiatives; clinical risk and quality assurance; and partnership working and joint commissioning.

Jo was previously Acting Director of Operations and Assistant Director of Nursing at Nottingham Community Health NHS Trust and a member of Nottinghamshire’s Joint Commissioning Forum for Children’s Services and the Children’s Trust Steering Group.

Her policy areas at the Confederation include children’s policy, older people and adult social care, public health and partnerships/local strategic partnerships, as well as PCT issues and futures.
