Tracy has 37 years’ experience within the NHS working as Chief Executive within the ambulance sector and Chief Executive of an integrated health board, following an earlier career in workforce and organisational development holding HR Director roles at local and national level.

Tracy led the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust through a period of significant transformation leading a programme of cultural and behaviour change and delivering a turnaround in relationships with staff and trades unions from one of hostility to one of trust and partnership, delivering tangible improvements for patients and staff.

A strong advocate for equality, she significantly increased the profile and focus on equality, diversity and inclusion within the ambulance sector at a UK level.

Tracy led a recovery and support programme to stabilise and improve performance in one of the largest integrated Health Boards in the UK.

Tracy supports the development of individuals through a strong and active commitment to mentoring including the provision of executive mentoring support to NHS organisations.

Through her Advisor role with AACE she enjoys supporting Ambulance Services across the UK providing Leadership, Organisational Development and Executive Mentoring support.

Tracy is an Honorary Professor at Swansea University Medical School and was awarded the OBE in 2021 for Services to NHS Wales.
