Chris is currently the Senior User at the NHS Ambulance Radio Programme (ARP). He has been heavily involved in assuring operational communications best practice in Ambulance Trusts, chair of the Emergency Services Airwave Strategic Group (ESASG) and represents the UK on the European Public Safety Radio Group (PSRG).

Additionally, Chris is the current Chair of British APCO which is acknowledged as the leading UK based Association for all professionals using or developing Public Safety technology.

Previously Chris worked as an operational manager for Yorkshire Ambulance Service across a wide range of roles and has a range of incident command experience. Prior to joining the Ambulance Service Chris served with the Royal Air Force as a navigator on maritime patrol aircraft.
