An Emergency Medicine Consultant in Oxford and a proponent of community care co-ordination and developing robust links between secondary care through SDEC and the community including Hospital at Home, UCR and Primary Care. National clinical lead for access into SDEC working with ambulance, 111 and GP stakeholders. Regional Clinical Director in London focussed on UEC digital (Including Ambulance Transfer of Care & Digital Front Door) and NHS 111 services.
Before training in EM worked as a GP for 10 years as a partner as well as working in OOH services and ED. These roles have assisted the understanding of the complexity of the patient journey from home to hospital and back again.
James lives in Oxford and is married to a Medical Examiner, with four children and a dog.
