Issue: Replace Hypoglycaemia bullet point with: In a baby without any abnormal signs and symptoms (see below) and no risk factors (see page 265 for list) hypoglycaemia is any single blood glucose reading with a value of <1.0 mmol/l even if a subsequent reading is normal. In a baby who is at-risk (see page 265 for list) hypoglycaemia is two consecutive blood glucose readings of <2.0 mmol/l. In a baby with abnormal signs and symptoms, a single reading of <2.5 mmol/l can be used to diagnose hypoglycaemia. Glucose is the main energy source for the fetus and neonate, and the newborn brain depends almost exclusively on glucose for energy metabolism.
