Your voice matters – help shape the next five years of NHS ambulance services with AACE

AACE LOGO Feb 2024

The Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE) invites NHS ambulance service employees, volunteers and students to help shape its five-year priorities. We welcome your insights on our strategic ambitions and how AACE can better support the UK ambulance sector.

If you’re an employee, volunteer or student working in an NHS ambulance service, throughout October, we would love to hear your views about what the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE) should be focusing on over the next five years.

We represent all UK NHS ambulance services and seek to speak, where possible, with one ambulance sector voice for the benefit of our patients and the public, our people and our partners.

You can find out more about AACE here.

We have recently published our response to the 10 year plan in England detailing a clear strategic direction for the ambulance sector: UK ambulance sector champions NHS 10-year plan outlining its pivotal contribution and role across emergency and urgent care – aace.org.uk which builds upon our UK-based vision: A vision for the UK NHS ambulance sector – aace.org.uk.

What we would now like to hear from you via email at info@aace.org.uk, is:

  • What should we be prioritising over the coming five years at a national level to support and consolidate your efforts at a regional trust level to realise our vision?
  • Are our strategic ambitions still fit for purpose: to support our members (all UK NHS ambulance services) to become providers, employers, partners of choice?
  • Any other thoughts about how AACE can work better alongside and on behalf of the UK NHS ambulance sector and other partners and stakeholders

The closing date for submissions is 31 October 2025.

Please email us your thoughts here.
