Simon is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants with over 25 years of senior financial and operational experience in both the private and public sectors.
He has held senior Trust finance and Commissioning roles within Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland spanning 16 years, and has also held other senior executive roles within Local Government, Education and the private sector.
Simon has been involved in successfully overseeing many significant strategic reform and transformation programmes within the public sector within Northern Ireland, and has a strong business and commercial acumen, having worked at senior level in both the private and public sector.
He has acquired expert specialist knowledge and skills in supporting the development and delivery of robust financial strategies for organisations, and leading on effective financial and operational performance management for public sector organisations.
Simon has specialist expertise in operating within financially constrained entities, driving economy, efficiency, effectiveness and transformation to deliver continuous performance improvement and has overseen the delivery of £ multi-million of efficiency and productivity savings within his various roles.
He is adept at supporting the delivery of corporate strategy whilst directing multi-functional business areas to support good corporate and financial governance. His collaborative multi-disciplinary approach has led to many successful outcomes for the organisations he has served.
Simon now runs his own consultancy business, working across the public sector to support organisations in delivering against significant financial challenges.
