“Our BME People and Communities: a Conversation”

“Our BME People & Communities – a Conversation”

This session – held on Tuesday 7 July, 2 – 3.30pm – was for all our NHS ambulance service people with the aim of enhancing understanding and raising awareness of BME staff and communities, particularly in the context of Covid-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement.

We heard from some speakers with expertise, knowledge and experience in this area and provided the opportunity for colleagues to reflect on what they have heard, and to share their own thoughts and views.

Prior to attending the call, we asked attendees to check out the below films.
There are additional resources available at the foot of this page.

We will also host a recording of the Zoom Session on this page shortly, along with a copy of the slide deck.  Thank you to all who contributed, supported and attended.

Facilitators

The session was facilitated by Tasnim Ali, Chair of the National Ambulance BME Forum, and Ian Baines, Transformation Consultant at NHS Horizons.
