The Association of Ambulance Chief Executives has welcomed a message of solidarity from their counterparts at New South Wales Ambulance.
In a letter to AACE’s CEO Martin Flaherty OBE and Executive Officer Steve Irving, their Commissioner and Chief Executive Dr Dominic Morgan also shared a video made by New South Wales Ambulance staff, encouraging UK ambulance professionals to #StayStrong. You can view that here.
Mr Morgan wrote:
On behalf of everyone at NSW Ambulance in Sydney, Australia, I wanted to write to you to express our support to all paramedics across the UK.
It has been devastating to hear of the impact COVID-19 has had on your country.
As fellow first responders, we understand the dedication you have shown and the sacrifices you have made to care for your community.
Our thoughts are with all paramedics and frontline workers in the UK as they bravely fight this pandemic.
In the video, you will hear some of the messages of support and solidarity from our paramedics here in Sydney. We hope that you will share this with your workforce.
Please know that your paramedic family in Australia is thinking of you during this challenging time.
