AACE publish Cultural Calendar as part of our anti-racism programme

This January we are shining a spotlight on cultural awareness through the launch of a 2023/24 calendar which highlights important dates within all cultures, and celebrates the richness of diversity across society.

AACE CULTURAL CALENDAR 2023 January Page

The calendar is an aid to support ambulance service employees and volunteers to appreciate and recognise the vibrancy we see around us and in the communities we serve.

It is interactive, with links which will take you to more information about the dates included. You can view and download it here.

Daren Mochrie QAM Chief Executive North West Ambulance Service and Chair of AACE commented:

I’m delighted that AACE has followed the lead of some of our member trusts in producing a cultural calendar capturing the range of celebrations and dates of significance to our patient and service user populations, as well as those of our employees and volunteers.

Meaningful engagement with the communities we serve is essential if we are to ensure equity of access and provision, which we hope this calendar will facilitate.

We hope that it will be useful and informative and whilst we have made every effort to include a wide range of dates, we welcome any additions, comments, or feedback to ensure it is fully inclusive and reflects the wealth of cultures in a positive way.
