AACE publishes issue 11 of our quarterly newsletter, Keeping PAACE

The eleventh edition of Keeping PAACE, our quarterly update for ambulance service employees and volunteers, is now available for download.

PAACE Summer 24 front coverFor this summer edition we cover the following topics:

  • The new #WorkWithoutFear campaign – to highlight the profound impact of abuse on the everyday lives of ambulance staff – and to encourage the minority of people who might commit these offences to have greater respect for the people who are trying to help them, their friends and families when they need it most.
  • How ambulance volunteers are really playing their partas we progress to the next stage of the national volunteering strategy, we take a moment to reflect on the importance of volunteers and the progress made over the last year – and look forward to our ambitions for the next phase.
  • Armed Forces Week – Armed Forces Week in June 2024 provided the perfect opportunity to highlight the work of the various armed forces networks within UK ambulance services, enabling us to celebrate the contributions of armed forces colleagues working within – and alongside – the ambulance family.
  • An invitation to the Ambulance Leadership Forum – ALF 2024 takes place on Tuesday 8th October 2024. It will be online – and it is free to attend. We look forward to welcoming as many ambulance trust staff and volunteers as possible to this year’s conference, the theme of which will be ‘Leaders at all levels’.
  • Ensuring the ambulance sector is firmly on the political radarprior to the General Election on 4 July, the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives outlined its asks of the new government, which will underpin our ongoing liaison with new ministers at both national and local levels.
