AACE publishes phase 2 of the national volunteering strategy

National ambulance volunteering strategy phase 2 FCAACE is pleased to publish the next phase of the national volunteering strategy.

This builds on the considerable work undertaken over the last 24 months, which saw unprecedented levels of cooperation between trust volunteering teams.

The next phase will focus on some key issues affecting ambulance volunteering and the wider ambulance service.

These are issues such as health inequalities and diversity, as well as improving data and leadership.

This next phase of the strategy was formulated in dialogue with a wide range of stakeholders including trust volunteer leads, CEOs, volunteers, NHSE, staff forums and more.

We are excited about unlocking the potential of volunteers. They are more than a “nice to have”; they are a fundamental part of the ambulance family.
