The AACE today publishes its staff wellbeing pledge, which commits all UK ambulance service chief executives to continue to actively work to enhance the wellbeing of their people by adopting and championing ten strategic steps whilst implementing three commitments that have arisen from the Project A staff wellbeing collaborative.
This pledge renews the sector’s commitment to fight stigma and make positive changes to improve mental health within the workplace – as was pledged by all services in 2015 at the beginning of the Mind Blue Light programme, which has now concluded.
The ten steps were developed by the Global Paramedic Leadership Alliance alongside colleagues from Canada, America, Australia and New Zealand with a belief that globally, ambulance and emergency medical services should strive to proactively provide and strengthen effective leadership in this area.
