The NHS Confederation website reports:
“Responding to what our members recently told us about how we can support them best, from 2011/12 the NHS Confederation will:
- support the Foundation Trust Network (FTN) to become an independent organisation and for the first year the new FTN will ask all its members to be members of the NHS Confederation too. The NHS Confederation and FTN will work closely together on some cross-cutting issues.
- continue to bring together the full range of organisations that make up the modern NHS to help improve the health of patients and the public, and to provide an industry-wide voice on issues of shared concern.”
