The National Ambulance Resilience Unit (NARU) played a key role at Ambition Expo 2016 this year, cementing the organisation’s position as a vital part of the UK’s national resilience infrastructure.
Ambition Expo – the annual event dedicated to the UK’s growing Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response sector – took place at Olympia in London on 19 & 20 April 2016.
NARU hosted a stand at the event which attracted greater numbers of visitors than ever before, providing NARU staff with the opportunity to answer questions about our work and network with a range of professionals from other parts of the NHS, emergency services, suppliers and the training sector.
NARU Director Keith Prior and NARU Ambulance Advisor Robert Flute also gave a joint conference presentation entitled “The evolution of EPRR expertise in the ambulance service – progress and challenges”, which was particularly well received by the audience.
The NARU stand featured the launch of a new NARU film aimed at ambulance trust Boards, designed to highlight the personal obligations that individual Board members face, with regards to deploying their staff into a range of difficult and challenging incidents.
Next year’s Ambition event takes place at Olympia between 03 and 04 May 2017, so save the date in your diaries now.
