We are all aware of the challenges to the nation’s mental health as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak and the social distancing and isolation measures put in place to help protect the NHS and to save lives.
The Every Mind Matters (EMM) campaign, launched to great success last October, empowered people to look after their mental health. To date, over 1.9 million ‘Mind Plans’ have been completed, giving people simple steps to take to improve their mental health.Along with PHE, we would like to call on your support again and help people look after their mental health during this challenging time.
The EMM platform has been updated to incorporate the new Covid-19 mental health guidance and provide content to help people look after their mental and physical health while staying at home.
This includes further updates to the ‘Mind Plan’, which sits at the heart of the website, as well as additional tips and advice for individuals and for parents who are concerned about their children. PHE will continue to update and increase this content and signpost users to further helpful information and resources.
We want to encourage as many people as possible to use these resources to support their mental health. The new campaign has been launched with the support of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, supporters of Every Mind Matters since launch. They are endorsing this new campaign and voicing over a new short film to help drive PR activity and feature in our TV advert below.
Please share this campaign with friends, family, ambulance colleagues and wider emergency services partners to help more people to look after their mental health during the pandemic.
