New look, new style, new website!

It’s been over six years since our public website at www.scas.nhs.uk has been changed, and a lot has happened since then so we thought it was about time to start from scratch and build a new one.

Web & New Media Manager Andy Humphries said: “This has been a massive team effort, from web and graphic design, to server and IT expertise, procurement, project management and even input from the public. I couldn’t be happier with the final product.”

Andy continued: “One of the design elements we wanted was more white space so that the site was easy to use on an iPad or Smartphone.

“We knew that our patients wanted clear, engaging content that was reliable and accessible for everyone, so there has been a lot of work on making the site automatically scale depending on which device you use.”

Gillian Hodgetts, Director of Communications, Marketing and Engagement, said: “We have made it easier for the public to see our latest news and initiatives by creating content that works well on a website, but also fits in when shared on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter – that way we can communicate the same message, but tailored specifically to our patients’ needs.”
