NHS Employers launch great new Ambulance Workforce wellbeing web pages

NHS Employers have just launched a great new Ambulance Workforce web section.

The ambulance service and its workforce face specific challenges and unique circumstances within the health and care system. Research carried out by the mental health charity Mind indicates that 91 per cent of ambulance staff have experienced stress, low mood or poor mental health while working for the ambulance service.

Addressing this is the responsibility of us all.

This resource for the ambulance workforce aims to develop organisational cultures that promote higher levels of morale, motivation, staff satisfaction, wellbeing and engagement, to improve the working lives of all staff in the ambulance service and, ultimately, help to deliver the best possible patient care.

It is based on evidence provided from across the ambulance sector on where good work is already happening and where support is needed, and has been developed in partnership with employers, trade unions and NHS Employers and supported by the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives and the National Ambulance Strategic Partnership Forum.

You can visit the section here.
