The Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE) once again took the opportunity of a stand at the 2014 Emergency Services Show this week to explain more about the role of AACE to a broad audience from all areas of the emergency services community.
With a daily footfall of 3,000 attendees, AACE’s Steve Irving and Hilary Pillin were well placed to provide a large number of stand visitors with progress reports of our achievements over the past year, whilst also showcasing the new AACE video (soon to be hosted here – watch this space) that highlights how important ambulance services are in delivering a range of care ‘closer to home’.
Says Executive Officer Steve:
“This year’s event was again an excellent forum for informing more people about what we do here at AACE.
The hall was busy and the emergency services zone perhaps busier than we have ever seen it; all credit to the organisers, as ESS seems to go from strength to strength. Long may that continue!
“We had several enquiries about the remit of the AACE, but also made good links with people who were keen to encourage further joint working with the NHS ambulance service.
We were also able to introduce people to the idea that AACE can provide consultancy advice on a commercial basis to a range of organisations, especially other overseas ambulance services, and we hope to build on our recent successes in this area as we look towards 2015.”
