Helen is AACE’s assistant director and assumed this role in January 2024 having previously held the role of national strategic lead for volunteering in the NHS ambulance sector.
Helen has worked in the ambulance sector and in health and social care regulation for over 18 years and has been with AACE since 2021. She has worked in operational and strategic leadership roles, project management and compliance in both the NHS and voluntary ambulance sector.
Helen is the AACE lead for strategic delivery, volunteering, the human resource directors’ group, national ambulance diversity forum, non-emergency patient transport and ambulance leadership forum. Helen also provides support to Anna as managing director, bringing her passion for safe, high quality patient care and recognition of the direct link with positive staff and volunteer experiences.
She believes in building strong partnerships, enhancing the power of diversity and influencing positively to deliver improvements for patients, colleagues, volunteers and AACE member organisations.
