Falls: prevention, advice and support

AACE FALLS POSTER banner

Every day, UK ambulance services respond to people who have fallen. While falls can happen to anyone, they are particularly common among older people and can have a significant impact on health, confidence and independence.

The Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE), working in partnership with the British Geriatrics Society and other key stakeholders, is committed to helping people reduce their risk of falling and know what to do if a fall occurs.

To support this, we have developed a range of free resources designed to provide clear, practical advice on fall prevention, what actions to take after a fall, and when further medical help may be needed.

The resources available below include:

We encourage organisations, healthcare professionals, community groups, carers, family members and members of the public to download, share and use these resources to help keep people safe, informed and independent.

Together, we can help prevent falls, reduce harm and ensure people receive the right support when they need it most.
