A paramedic who helped save the life of collapsed footballer Fabrice Muamba today told how life-saving defibrillators “need to be everywhere” to improve survival rates in London.

Pete Fisher spoke out as he was reunited with the former Bolton player at the launch of a London Ambulance Service campaign to get 1,000 more defibrillators installed in public places.

The Bolton doctor and physio ran on to the pitch, closely followed by the Tottenham Hotspur doctor and physio, and then us from the pitch retrieval team.
