Two estate agents told today how they saved a man’s life after watching Vinnie Jones in a heart charity ad.

Sharon Shankster, 58, and Noura Mehdinejad, 23, sang Bee Gees hit Stayin’ Alive to keep in rhythm as they performed chest compressions on Jerry Fitzgerald when he suffered a heart attack.

The pair were inspired by the TV campaign with former football hardman Jones demonstrating hands-only CPR.

In the British Heart Foundation ad, Jones advises first-aiders to hum Stayin’ Alive while they pump the patient’s chest at a rate of 100 to 120 times a minute.
