Remember: Stay Safe In The Back

On average, at least one road traffic collision that happens each day will involve an ambulance – resulting in minor bumps and scrapes to major accidents.

Being safe in the back is as much about your safety as that of your patients so AACE is reminding staff to look out for each other and keep yourself, your colleagues and your patients safe in the back at all times.

Last year we launched our #SafeInTheBack campaign designed to highlight the serious implications of not wearing seatbelts or harnessing patients properly in the back of ambulance vehicles and placing emphasis on the importance of ensuring staff and patients are secured whilst travelling.

We are now highlighting this campaign again and the powerful short film and posters that were created are available here – so please take a few minutes to watch – it could make a serious difference one day.
