Spotlight on AACE’s Anti-Racism promises: June

This June we are shining a spotlight on how Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) is providing an inclusive and welcoming workplace for its staff.

YAS supports the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives’ Five Rs promise to stamp out racism, which is also backed by the National Ambulance BME Forum.

One of the key themes focused on at YAS is ‘Respect’ and in January 2020 the Service launched its Say Yes to Respect initiative.

The Say Yes to Respect initiative is an ongoing programme of work which reflects YAS’ organisational values, which include compassion and integrity, and that staff support and stand up for each other as one team.

Watch this video from YAS to find out more.

Many thanks to the team at YAS for providing the content around this initiative.

We’ll continue to post our Spotlight updates each month in our website’s News section and via Twitter at @AACE_Org.

You can find more information about our anti-racism promises, along with messages from all of our Ambulance Trust CEOs on our Stamping Out Racism page.
