AACE publishes new national volunteering policy guidance

Ambulance volunteering policy guidelinesThis national volunteering policy guide is designed to support ambulance trusts with the formulation of trust-wide volunteering policies.

The volunteering policy is a vital tool for the appropriate recruitment and utilisation of volunteers.

It has been prepared to assist volunteer leaders with writing policies for ambulance volunteers. It is not an exhaustive template, rather it aims to assist with the style, format and layout of the document.

Each section includes guidance on the kind of content you should think about including, as well as guidance on style and tone.

In turn, this will help ensure that trusts are more aligned nationally with how they run their services and will also help ensure that volunteers receive a consistently high level experience across the ambulance sector.
