AACE and NHS Charities Together are delighted to have collaborated on the production of the ‘Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and health inequalities’ report which makes recommendations for improvements in the response to out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) and associated health inequalities.
This report has been published as part of a project and significant fundraising campaign by NHS Charities Together to support activity linked to community resilience. The report outlines the current situation across the UK and makes proposals for next steps, specifically around the community response to OHCA.
This report has provided a basis for AACE and partners to focus OHCA projects seeking to improve survival from cardiac arrest, as well as deliver system wide improvements.
AACE continues to work alongside ambulance trusts and stakeholders to ensure a unified, cohesive, and collaborative approach to OHCA, community resilience and inequalities.
We would like to thank all stakeholders for their support, collaboration, and input into this work. The enthusiasm to be involved and work together throughout has been admirable. We believe the report recognises the incredible work, ambition, and passion across all organisations to drive improvement.
