EAST OF ENGLAND RESILIENCE TRAINING GETS ICPEM APPROVAL

east-of-england-ambulance-service-nhs-trustEast of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust has today announced that it has been successful in gaining accreditation by the Institute of Civil Protection and Emergency Management (ICPEM) for its full portfolio of Resilience training courses.

This is in addition to its existing endorsement by the Emergency Planning Society (EPS).

Robert Flute, Head of Resilience and Special Operations at East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust says

“I am delighted with this development and the endorsement would not have been achieved without all the hard work or our staff – particularly the team that put together the considerable documentation required. The assessment process has taken since November 2012 and was extremely rigorous in its approach but the mapping of all of the courses to the Skills for Justice standards and the new Department of Health EPRRstandards evidently proved its value.

“The accreditation means that we will have our courses advertised on both the EPS and ICPEM websites and with clients from NHS Trusts, Fire and Police Services, HPA, local authorities and internationally, we are proving the high quality of our courses.”

The Trust’s next target is University accreditation of its command courses via the University of East Anglia – negotiations are at an early stage.
